FAQ

App Questions and Fixes

Quick answers to the common ones.

Is the app free?

The app is free to install. You need an active Shamel TV subscription or a free trial to watch channels. See the plans.

How do I sign in on a TV without typing?

Open Account in the app and scan the QR code with your phone. You can sign in, start a trial, renew, or type your Xtream Codes details on your phone instead of with the remote.

How do I get a free trial?

Install the app, tap Start Free Trial and enter your email on the page that opens. The app signs you in by itself. Existing customers sign in with the email on their account. You can also request a trial on the trial page.

Can I use Xtream Codes or M3U logins?

Yes. In the app, open Account and choose Xtream Codes or M3U Link. Movies and series need an Xtream Codes or Shamel TV account sign-in. Your subscription also works in popular IPTV players, see our TiviMate setup guide.

What is the Downloader code for Shamel TV Pro?

The code is 9663948. Open the free Downloader app on your Fire TV or Android TV, enter 9663948 and select Go. If the code does not work, type shamel-tv.com/app/shameltv.apk instead, or contact support with a screenshot of the error.

Android says "App not installed". What should I do?

Free some storage, delete any older copy of the app, and install again. If the file came from anywhere other than this page, delete it and download it here instead.

How do I install the app on iPhone or iPad?

Open the web app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Use Safari, because in-app browsers usually don't show that option. See the install steps.

Why is the app not in the Samsung or LG store?

There is no native Samsung or LG version. Use the TV version in the TV's built-in browser, or plug in a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device for the full app. Our Samsung and LG setup guide has more options.

Does the app have subtitles?

Yes, when the video includes them. On a TV, press MENU or the up arrow while watching. On a phone, tap the screen and then CC. In a web browser, tap CC to pick a track or add your own .srt or .vtt file.

Ready to Start Watching?

Install the app, start your free trial, and see your channels, movies and series for yourself.
